International News: A photo posted by former FBI Director James Comi on Instagram has led to a strong controversy in political and social corridors. In this picture, the number '86 47 'made from conch shells was seen on the beach, which has reacted strongly by American officials and Republican leaders. He called it a hidden threat and violent signal against President Donald Trump. James Comi has removed the post from Instagram, while US authorities have started an investigation in view of the seriousness of the matter.

What was in the picture?

Comi shared a unique shaped picture made of conch shells on the beach on Instagram, in which the '86 47 'points were clearly visible. In the caption of this picture, he wrote, "Wonderful conch structures walking on the beach." James Comi served as the FBI Director from 2013 to 2017. He was dismissed by President Trump in his first term, when FBI was investigating Russian officials and Trump's 2016 presidential election campaign. Due to this background, this post of Comi was considered politically extremely sensitive.

Meaning and controversy of '86 47 '

An informal meaning of '86' in America has an informal meaning to remove, remove or refuse to serve. '47' is referenced to the 47th President of America Donald Trump. Therefore, it was alleged about this picture that it is a symbolic message that threatens to remove or eliminate Trump. Many Republic leaders saw it as an incentive to kill the President.

Political response and investigation

As soon as this picture went viral, many senior officials of the US government and Republican leaders started reacting strictly. Homeland Security Secretary Christie NoM wrote on Twitter (now x) that DHS and Secret Service are investigating the matter and appropriate action will be taken. Andy Ogles, a member of the American House of Representatives, called the post a hidden message to 'kill 47' or 'kill the President' and demand security agencies to review Comi's security clearance.

White House Deputy Chief of Staff James Blair said that the post has come to light when Trump is on the Middle East, which is extremely worrying. At the same time, the current FBI Director Kash Patel confirmed the incident and said that the FBI is investigating the matter in collaboration with Secret Service.

James Comi's cleaning statement

As the controversy increased, Comi clarified on his behalf and said that he had posted a common picture of conch shells while walking on the beach. He did not know that these numbers had any relation with violence or threats. He clarified that he was against any kind of violence and so he removed the post. Komi said, "I never thought that it promotes a violent message."

How sensitive & rapidly increased political environment

This case has become another example of current political stress and polarization in the US. The controversy arising over a simple picture of the former FBI director makes it clear how sensitive and rapidly grows the political atmosphere. At the same time, this incident also shows the power of social media and the dangers of its misinterpretation. US security agencies are investigating the matter deeply and further action is being monitored.
